GT WORLD CHALLENGE EUROPE ENDURANCE CUP – HOCKENHEIM
- The penultimate round of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS Endurance Cup season took Jordan Love to the Hockenheimring, Germany
- A misfortunate weekend for Jordan in the #4 Haupt Racing Team Mercedes-AMG GT3, as the team had to end the race early after a collision with a competitor
- Running with teammates Jannes Fittje and Alain Valente, they endured a difficult start to the weekend with limited running and Jordan not able to get any track time prior to Sunday’s qualifying and race
- In qualifying, Jordan and the team managed to secure 10th in the Silver Class despite their lack of running on Saturday
- In the race, Jordan‘s teammate Jannes Fittje experienced a turbulent start to the race – with contact through the opening laps resulting in damage to the #4 Mercedes-AMG GT3
- Unfortunately, the damage sustained was too bad for the team to continue and they were forced into retirement
- Jordan now heads to Barcelona, Spain, for the season finale of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS Endurance Cup season, 30 September – 2 October, where Jordan and his teammates will be looking to end their season on a high
“This weekend was definitely one to forget, we just did not have any luck on our side. We missed quite a bit of running on Saturday which put us on the back foot for Sunday but the team pulled together and we showed our resilience. Unfortunately in the race, Jannes was on the wrong end of some contact and the car couldn’t continue – which is a shame as I wasn’t able to drive. But we go again in Barcelona, and we’ll be pushing to end the season on a high note!”– Jordan Love
