  • It was a fantastic weekend for Mercedes-AMG Junior Driver, Jordan Love, who secured a double class podium as he began his Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup – Powered by AWS campaign at Brands Hatch.

  • The Australian driver teamed up with Frank Bird to pilot the #77 Mercedes-AMG GT3 for Haupt Racing Team, in the Silver Cup classification.

  • A successful qualifying session saw the duo secure an impressive P2 in the Silver Cup class for the opening race.

  • They followed up with an another impressive qualifying display, securing P3 in class for Sunday’s second race of the weekend.

  • A great performance in the opening race saw the Jordan and the #77 car cross the finish line in P3 to secure a podium finish.

  • Things got even better in the second race as a fantastic effort from both drivers saw Frank and Jordan cross the line in P1 in class and P11 overall. However, race officials issued a ten second time penalty for contact with a rival car, meaning the duo were relegated to P2 in class.

  • Despite the time penalty, the #77 car finished just one second behind the class winners after 41 laps of the iconic Brands Hatch GP circuit, allowing them to step up to the podium for the second time.

  • After the opening weekend, Jordan currently sits in 2nd position in the drivers standings with 21.5 points.

  • The next round of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup will take place on the weekend of July 15th, and will see Jordan travel to Misano, Italy.

  • Jordan’s next race will take place this weekend (18-21 May) as he contests the prestigious ADAC TotalEnergies 24h Nürburgring for Mercedes-AMG Team Bilstein.

“To have a great result even though it wasn’t the smoothest of weekends we know the package we have is fast. Full focus on learning from our mistakes and maximising the rest of the championship. I can’t wait for the next round, I’ll be going into it full of confidence that we can challenge for the win again.”

“I’m now fully focused on this weekend, back out for the 24 hour race at the Nürburgring. It’s obviously the big race on the calendar and I can’t wait for it. Myself and the team have put in a lot of preparation ahead of this so hopefully it pays off and we can get a good result.”
